Try www.flashplanet.com and do a search in the resource section on counter
or hit counter, should come up with a tutorial or an open-fla.

I have another question:
Has anyone ever put together a hit counter actually built into the Flash
file, instead of having to rely on the looks of your web hosts' counter?
Any tutorials?
