As far as we know, FlashWriter was only intended for use with Illustrator 8.
This may explain why you're having performance issues with Illustrator 9.
Regarding the SWF export of AI8 w/ FlashWriter versus AI9 w/ built-in SWF
export, I don't know the difference. If anyone on this list can give us
examples of differences, I know that would certainly help people. I'm sure
that there are those who are still using AI8, as well.
