Subject: FLASH: Must always IP address - Why?
From: DataSmith
Date: Sun, 25 Jun 2000 15:55:38 +0100

Hi all,

Simple question from a neophyte:

When I create a FLASH movie and ftp it to one of my sites (the swf and the
html), I'm finding that I get the 404 - Page not found error when I try to
access it in IE, for example by entering www.xxx/flashmovie.html. I find
that it works if I enter the IP; ex., http://211.188.17.230/flashmovie.html.

Even a redirector statement like meta http-equiv refresh, etc. to the IP
address invokes the 404 error.

What's the remedy?

TIA,
Frank
