Just put the rectangle behind the text on the 'hit' state of the button
only and your text will stay transparent but with the invisible
rectangle as the hit area.

Hi Mitche,

You can do the following, draw a rectangle behand the button,
fill it and group it with text button. It's not trans-parant anymore,
but more clickable than before. Good sollution when you have a sollid
background.

The Text-Buttons I have created have a problem... They only
activate
when you click on the text itself... This is a problem because
text has
so many "wholes" in them... Like the letter "C"...very
difficult to
click on the thin "C" curvature. Is there a better way to do
this? I
find myself struggled to click on links.
