Quicktime 3 opinions?

Hi folks,


Perhaps this is a touchy subject, but it needs to be examined.  And carefully.


QT 3 is out.  http://www.apple.com/quicktime


Lotta hoopla going on about it.


How does this affect Flash authors?  At all?  A lot?


Maybe John D, or Jon G., or someone else in authority from MM would care to

comment about integrating Flash content into QT3 ala RealPlayer 5.  Or why

it isn't integrated since QT3 is supporting, what, 30+ formats?


Maybe a rep of MM could draw us a baseline of which products provide the

best delivery, in what situations.  And what is the situation regarding

Flash content in QT3?


How do they work together; how do they compete?  I'm still looking for good

streaming QT3 vid content.  Found some impressive audio content though.


Who are the vector competitors in QT3?  I found one on a developer list

(Electrifier Pro http://www.larisoftware.com)  How does that thing compare

to Flash?


So, tell us the story MM, and other developers who know, what's your view?


Pls help this dummy understand the situation.
