FLASH: what sound compression is supported?

Hi,


I'm trying to import a sound into my flash  "movie".


The manual says "Choose File > Import to bring either AIFF or WAV 

sounds into Flash, just as you would import any other file type. 

Flash stores sounds in the Library along with bitmaps and symbols."


I can't see the AIFF file I'm trying to import in the "Import" dialog 

box. I've tried all sorts of archaic naming conventions.. but...


Doesn't Flash support compression in AIFF files?
