Subject: FLASH: Aftershock Reliability
From: James Kozick

I would like to use Aftershock at the front end of a site. If the browser is
equipped to play the Flash movie, the plug-in loads and the movie plays. But
if the browser is not equipped, an alternative page is loaded with non-Flash
content. Aftershock would handle all of this behind the scenes without the
visitor having to choose a Flash or non-Flash direction. What I would not
want to happen is have the viewer experience some glitch that would convince
them "this plugged-in stuff is not really reliable."

I know where to find the official information on Aftershock, but what I want
to know is, in the experience of this group, is it reasonably dependable?
Any tweaks or revisions to it to make it reliable?

Please share your comments and suggestions. Also, if you know of any sites
where this kind of thing has been used successfully, please let me know.

Thanks!
