Neil is correct, the reason why this does not work is that the resource
fork was removed when you copied the file to the pc. The resource fork
contains two four character codes, a file type and a creator type which
tell the computer what kind of file it is and what program to open it in,
respectively. If the file is just a document, this does no real harm, as
you can just open it from within the desired program and it will function
normally. However, if the file is an actual program (i.e. executable) then
you have a real problem. The only way to fix this after the fact is to
manually restore the file type and creator codes (with more complex
programs than projectors the resource fork also contains many other things
which cannot be so easily restored). I can tell you how to do this, though
it's not often something that makes the most sense to do. To prevent this
problem, you should zip the projector on your mac, and then you can move
the zip file around as much as you want and your projector won't be
damaged. I use Zipit, which is shareware. Zipit is designed to compress
mac files in such a way so as not to lose the resource fork. I can be
obtained at
http://hotfiles.zdnet.com/cgi-bin/texis/swlib/mac/infomac.html?fcode=MC10527 .
hope this helps =)
