FLASH: button detectors and opacity

greetins, ive been having some trouble with using text as buttons; so far

the only

way ive found to keep the button's detection area solid is to use a form

under

the text in the symbol.  however, if the symbol is overlayed on a background

other than black, you can see the shape beneath the text, even if the shape

is at 0%.

anyone have any ideas as to what to use as a detector or to get that shape

to be truly

invisible?
