Hi Ralph,
I'm learning these things right now myself, so there may be more to the
story, but one big advantage of the separate swf approach is that the user
doesn't have to download all four of the sections if they only want to view
one of them.

You TellTarget it to GOTO and STOP at a frame that is invisible. People
on the list often label that invisible frame "Park", and refer to
deactiviating the movie clip as "parking it".
