FLASH: Flash threashold!

I'm no idiot but can't seem to get into the basics of Flash.

I have some white text on a white background on the work area.

Then I make a dark blue cloud also in the work area and now I want it to

float

over to and behind the text to make it visible.

Kudos to anyone willing to help out!

I read tfm backwards and forwards but can't seem to grasp the concept!
