FLASH: importing text pictures and alll kinds of junk

I'm using Illustrator 8.0 to make all my graphics for my new flash site. I

would much rather use it than Freehand, but I'm having all kinds of trouble

importing my graphics. I do have Freehand 8 (not 8.01 because it won't let

me upgrade for some odd reason) but I don't have the swf export, besides

Freehand screws up all my artwork the same way Flash does when I import

from Illustrator. I am using picts and converting all my text to paths and

am still getting stuff strewn across the stage as well as not being able to

import some picts (Flash thinks they are eps????). Does anyone have a good

tried and true method of importing that I could try (other than using

Freehand first....it's a little late for that.) from Illustrator to Flash?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.


P.S. I am saving my Illustrator files as 6.0, so I don't what else it could

be. Thanks again
