Thanks for your help. I am starting to get the picture. I thought the
sound was determining the length of main timeline's play time. If I
understand you correctly, I put a stop action in the main timeline's
frame where the MC starts?? or in the first frame of the MC itself? I
think it would be the former, but wouldn't that stop action in the main
timeline prevent the MC from playing?
What I did was extend the main timeline long enough to cover the full
number of frames in the MC so that the MC would play simultaneously with
the main timeline.
Now where I got confused was that although I had enough frames in the
main timeline, the MC did not play completely in the TEST mode, but got
clipped until I extended it to the point where the MC actually plays
through 3 full times...
I think, and this is where I am confused... how does a sound control the
play on the main timeline?
I have a sound in the MC which takes 3 full loops of the video to
complete. I also had sound on the main time line which extended the the
timeline many frames. I can't remember now whether I used them as
Syncronized or Streamed sounds...
A couple of basic questions: what effect does Event Syncronized or
Streamed sound have on the timeline of either a movie clip or the main
timeline?
I also tried to import WAV sounds, but found Flash didn't recognize them.
I thought Flash was supposed to recognize WAV on a Mac? They are wav
files but have the QT movie icons..
