Sure, it's just a matrix of invisible buttons included as the first
frame of a Movie Clip the button initiates a tween that goes down and
fades out (alpha 0).

There are two different ways to do the follow the mouse one with nested
buttons and the other way is with a matrix of buttons. In these two
cases it is easy to tell they are using the matrix of buttons because
there are gaps allong the edges where there are no buttons.
It seems both are done by copying the example at Flash Zone, it is
called Cool Mouse II. They both seem to have the same round hit areas
for the buttons
