Yes, there is an in-depth third party study (done by King Brown and
Partners) and a detailed whitepaper at

http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/survey/main.html

There is an online version and a downloadable .PDF so that you actually can
print something out if you want a document to show your clients.

Summary: Over 77% of all web surfers already have Flash installed.

Over 77% already have it. An additional large percentage will get the
seamless autodownload experience provided by IE and Active X. Only a very
small percent will actually need to actively download it.

That is exactly the purpose of the study and the whitepaper mentioned
above. Please read it and let us know if it helps you. At Macromedia,
