Hi,

I've recently got Generator and have found that certain PS fonts (maybe even
*all* PS fonts -- not had time to check) don't appear to render properly
once "generated". (bad spacing, vertical text instead of horizontal etc)
TT fonts worked fine! Maybe it's my setup -- does anyone have any info on
this. I know you can upload the font (at least I think I read that
somewhere) to the Generator Server and I admit I haven't tried that yet, but
I am curious that if you do have to upload the PS fonts -- why should the TT
fonts work when they're not uploaded?
In the event that there *is* an issue with Generator and PS fonts the
warning is this:
"If you're creating content that may somewhere down the line be used with
Generator (or there's even the slightest chance that is might be!) then
start off with TT fonts -- or risk the punishment: having to change all your
backdated work from PS to TT -- like I've just had to do!"
For those of you not familiar to Generator: "breaking apart" the lettering
is of no use as the words need to be real letters for the variables to be
readable be Generator.
Having said all this, I'm new to mailing lists (two weeks!) -- but this
one's great -- can I discuss generator issues here? or can someone point me
in the direction of a Generator list. The MM site doesn't appear to mention
one -- just this one. (although I think the above comment is of value to
this list)
