Hi Gerrie,


Put the white text on the top layer, then put the cloud underneath on

a different layer. Think of this as a house with several floors in it.

Ok the text is in the attic, lock this layer. The main floor has the

animation on it,  (cloud moving across the work area).

Create your animation on the main floor. Move that cloud across the

work area and across the timeline. Start at frame 2 and however long

you want it to run, (say 20 frames) put a keyframe in 20. In

preferences choose motion. (this creates a red line and arrow.) 

One thing to remember: if you want to keep the cloud stagnant (in

otherwords the cloud doesn't change in shape) then make a symbol of

it, call it cloud and then pull it from the library, after you have

created it, in the edit mode. If you can use your symbol over and over

again it will make your final movie that much smaller, because it will

only have to load that symbol once 


Now let's say you want the cloud to appear only where the text is, as

in perhaps fade in and out. Then creating it as a symbol  in the

library will enable you to do this. When you pull it from the library

it now is a symbol and you can change the alpha and other attribrutes

to it's appearance. This way it will appear and disappear when and

where you want it. For example: at frame 10 you want it to appear,

meaning you want the while text to show up, so in frame 2 or maybe

higher, set the apha to 0% and in frame 10 set it at 100% and then in

say frame 15 or so make it 0%. You can also move it and change the

percentage of the apha channel or other channels if you want giving

you some interesting effects.
