FLASH: can you have a mouseover play a movie clip?

Hi fellow flashers,

Ok... could someone tell me the best way to set this up?  I have a flash

movie with four characters in it.  I want this to happen:  When you

mouse over a character one ,  character one  plays an animation.  Then

if you move your mouse over  character two, then character two plays an

animation, and so forth.  I set it up so that each character animation

is a movie clip.  I can change that though if there is another way to do

this.  so, I already tried making each character animation a movie

clip.  then I was going to attach an action to the movie clip that said:


OnMouseOver

Play

On MouseOut

Stop


It won;t let me do this?  Is this possible?


Can anyone help?
