FLASH: Buttons

Hi....I apologise in advance in case that this question has been done to

death or is just a stupid question.


I am trying to do two things......and am becoming frustrated.


I am developing a presentation in flash......(so far so good).....I have

menu buttons down the side which I am able to get working with mouse

overs...but in a few I need to add more text than can be viewed in the

viewing area. Preferably I would like to add scrolling text to when the

button is in the down state....but I just don't seem to be going about it

the right way.


Another problem I have is that I would prefer that the text associated with

the down button not disappear as soon as you move you mouse away from the

button.


Does anyone have any (polite) suggestions or able to point me in the right

direction for assistance or tutorials?
