Subject: FLASH: questions on file format

Hi, there:

I am new to Flash and reading SWF File Format Spec. from the Macromedia
web page on
www.macromedia.com/software/flash/open/spec. I have two questions on
tagged block of
DefineButton2.

1. There is a field "Buttons" of button character records with color
transform
with alpha, typed BUTTONRECORD.
On the next page, the type of BUTTONRECORD is defined and the last
field of this record, ColorTransform has "nCharacters in button" number
of CXFORM's.
My question is that where the number "nCharacters in button" defined in
the file.

2. Right after the field "Button", it's the field
"Button2ActionCondition". It seems to me
that this field does not consume any bytes since the type is empty and
the comment tells me
that it is equavilent to the rest of the block. Is that true?

Thanks in advance,

-Wei
