You need to detect for Flash 4 plugin and tell them to upgrade -

www.moock.org has a great example on how to detect for the Flash 4 plugin

from Flash itself.

Hi folks,


What do you do if you're creating .swfs in Flash 4 that don't work when

viewed with the flash 3 plugin? Perhaps this is not an issue when viewing in

Windows, but on the mac, I created something which actually came up on

screen using the flash 3 plugin, but just lost a lot of the interactivity.

This is almost worse than a message saying, "you don't have the plugin". How

do you flash gods deal with this?
