Try making the button a two framed MC. First frame contains the button
instance with the roll over commands AND a OnPress command to go to next
frame. That way, your roll over's will work until you press at which point
the MC containing the buttons will move on to the next frame. That frame
contains the buttons with different actions, i.e they don't contain the
offensive roll out action.

Subject: FLASH: actionscript for mouse over

Hi there..

I have a button where if it is rolled over, a mc fades in.... if you roll
out, it sets the mc back at the semi transparent state....

I have also set it up, so that if the mouse is released (after a click), the
mc is in a different state than previously described above... and I want it
to stay in this state....

So my issue is this.... after the button is pressed, (it puts the mc exactly
as i want it), but when the mouse is then removed from the button, it uses
the "on roll out' state instead of maintaining the "clicked state" - which
is understandable.... since I had used the "on roll out" action....

how would I get around this?
