Sorry - I didn't get this message until late tonight, so my answer may be too late. However, I discovered the hard way that the .pdf files created with FreeHand didn't embed fonts. So much for the easy way of sending .pdf files!! (Glad to hear FH9 will change that).
To do what you want from FH now, you want to print to file. This will create a postscript file which you will save on your disk. .. you should be asked if you want to embed all fonts or all except standard 13 (or something like that), etc. Select all fonts and print to file which will create a .ps file. Then you must open Distiller (I am still using 3.02 and it works just fine, thank you) in order to create the .pdf file from the .ps file. Then, if you want to be sure it is exactly what you wanted it to be, you might open it in Acrobat Reader to check it out.
