Indeed. The level of precision necessary in the print world is a bit of
overhead for the web.

StreamLine will allow you to batch-outline several images, adjust
posterization settings in real time, adjust curve tolerance, etc. As for
needing a plug-in, I'll need to send John a copy of Illustrator 8.0. We have
a tool that lets you selectively reduce the number of points in a path so
you have control over where you want to optimize the points.
