I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but with my version of Photshop 

4.0...

select the dotted rectangle tool (don't let all this fancy lingo throw you 

off) then go to Window - Show Options on the menu bar (that would be the one 

under the title bar(in windows)) a little window should pop up and near the 

bottom is a box that lets you input the number of pixels you would like to 

FEATHER.

I hope this helps...and I hope that is the type of rounded rectangle you were 

looking for.

p.s. if you happen to have an extra version of PS5 lying around...ill be more 

than happy to take it off your hands. :-P
