tell target prblem

I have a file with 4 frames.  I have in one frame a button that when

clicked should tell the movieclip in the next frame to move to a labeled

frame.  I set everything up as you are supposed to but it won't work. 

It only works when the button is in the SAME frame as the movieclip.  I

have labeled the clip and the frame and set up the paths called for, but

it still won't work.  If someone has done this, could you post the

telltarget set up?  I have tried it evry which way but to no avail.....

Thanks for the help in advance.

BTW:  I have tested this after the file is made because it uses a

movieclip and as we all know, clips aren't operational in the edit

enviorment.
