the .png alpha channel does work in flash, but with every test i did the

images were sadly not usable because the brightness from the original had

been so reduced. i posted a while back about the problem and the concensus

seemed to be that .pngs just import really dark. sigh.  if it's only a matter

of a few images though, you could probably play around with bumping up the

levels in photoshop to accomodate for the brightness shift.
