Flash Central was created to show that an all Flash site can be used as

a basic utility website and that the 'Flash' is something that can be

added based upon the needs of a particular site. When we debuted our

site, ours was one of the few sites showing a more standard interface

showing off the smoothness and ease of doing standard pages in Flash

with a more standard interface.

Compare FC to Gabo and you will see what I mean. Though GaboCorp is

unique it is not the type of site that most major businesses would be

able to use. But many Flash sites are just looking to be unique and show

off design and are lacking in basic functionallity. There is nothing

wrong with that but Flash should not be pidgeonholed into that one type

of site. It is and can be more!!!


I am always having to add standard graphics to the list of advantages to

Flash. Everybody puts down animation as an advantage of Flash. But there

are many times that you don't need or want animation but Flash is still

a superior format for display. Maps and 2D diagrams are just two of the

uses that Flash is well suited for with or without animation.
