Hi James,



Are you on a mac?  I had the same problems a while ago when I was

knee deep in nested tell targets.  In my case, not only would my mac crash,

but it would do something horrible to the fla that I was working on so that

the file would no longer open again.  



sorry to say, I know of no work around but to save and save often.
