Hi,

I recommend that you look at several sources: For example, a POP (point of
purchase; a display sitting in the middle of a store. Magazine ads, tv
commercials. Ask yourself these questions: What draws your attention to these
things? What do you remember from the ads? They're all similar, and they all
follow basic ad concepts. Some are more creative than others but they're
basically all the same. Ask yourself this question: If you had this certain
product how would you advertise for it? Would you do it differently?
I was at one of the bookstores a while back and I came across a magazine or
rather a large thick magazine featuring the best of graphic design for '99. I
can't remember what it was called . . . I shall have to go back and find out. Ah
another reason to go to the book store, do I need another reason, I hang out
there . . . they have fresh coffee!

Anyway that's one way/reason to look at design, how they sell a product, and how
they do it creatively.
