Hmm... I never tell anyone that something *can't* be done - someone always

finds a creative way to do it! :>)


However, in Flash 4, a layer can be a mask or guide layer, but not both.

That is correct.


One design workaround - put mask layers and masked content inside a movie

clip symbol, and use that mc on the guide layer in the main timeline. 


How does that sound?
