Yes, that's definitely possible... when we're a guest in the browser we
rely on the browser letting us do things. It's like how you can usually
make faster time in a car than on a bus, or how you can finish off the
entire container of ice cream when you're at your own house more easily
than when you're a guest at someone else's house.
... hmm, I'm not certain where I got the weird analogies, but yes, when
we're in a browser then the Flash rendering engine doesn't usually get as
many cycles as when it's not a guest of the other application, that's true.
Sometimes it's not perceptible, sometimes it is.
