Hi Dee,
Best thing is to make a MovieClip that has your "alertBox" graphic and any
buttons you require in it, then you create keyframes with different labels
for the different alerts. Place it on stage name it "alert" and add a blank
keyFrame at the beginning of that movie with an action of "Stop", this way
the alert MC will be invisible until you use:
Tell Target ("alert")
Go to and Stop "alertLabelx"
End Tell
All that is left to do now is place your actions on the button including:
Go To and Stop 1
This will hide it again.
If you want the user to not be able to click anywhere else on the screen
then you will have to create a dummy full screen button which you place
underneath your alert graphics. Again leaving the first frame blank.
