There are many ways to invoke the JavaScript alert box from a Flash movie.
One simple way is to make a button that says this:
On (Release)
Get URL ("javascript:alert("hello")")
End On
In the Publish Settings, choose "FSCommand" under HTML templates. Test in
browser.
This works for all major browsers except IE4.5/Mac.
For more info on making an alert box, see the Flash 4 manual under
"FSCommand". There's another step-by-step example there.
