When your FLA file gets compressed into an SWF file, all of your scenes get
flattened into one layer and one timeline. Therefore, tell targets often
don't work, and targeting a frame number in another scene will never work
since the frame numbers change upon export.
In the past I never used scenes, but I recently took on a client who had a
template that they insisted I use that is based on scenes. The Flash is
extremely linear, so it doesn't have a big impact on the functionality.
However if you are building a dynamic, non-linear site, scenes are
definitely not the way to go; IMO.
Good Luck
