Austin posted one awhile back that's at http://i-technica.com/flashlist

(search on Austin and look for something about text boxes).  It involves

setting actions for each letter on the keyboard and other not-fun stuff

though, so you'd have to really want to do it.  (It also makes me laugh

because about halfway through the post, just when you're thinking maybe

you're understanding what he's doing, he says "and now for the hairy

part").  Anyway, just thought I'd mention that as it's the only

alternative I know of...
