Subject: Re: FLASH: CD Rom production - Director is so bogus --how do you define the end of this thread?

Wow... comparing Director to Mtropolis. Well, first of all, version 3 of
Director had a "player" for windows--gaffer, etc. It sucked and all
"players" for other platforms are inherently less useable because you
develop on one platform, test on the other... then go back to the
development platform to make changes.

Secondly, you compare to a company that went out of business. I'll be glad
to pay Macromedia their prices (arguable exorbitant--though not my belief)
in order to have a product that lives for at least a few years. My
investment learning Director is way greater than all the upgrades and
software purchases. Again, if you want the "player" for the other platform
people make it available and Macromedia makes it available for the price of
Director.
