Metrowerks is out of business? Mtropolis was bought and Quarked, had nothing
to do with the feasability of the technology. The analogy was to RADEs, not
to business proactices. Actually, Macromedia making dual platform Director
authoring eaiser would likely be beneficial, given that both QT and WiMP
have recently begun to be viable for creating simple, interactive video +
other media presentations. I'm sure MACR has reasons for continuing this
practice, In a modern shop with networked computers, its really not very
difficult to burn a projector on one platform and test it on another, nor
with the proper skill set is it that difficult design a project so it will
run on both platforms.
