By way of the BeatNik plugin, I don't know anyone in my circle that have
even bothered waiting for the download and install of it. Without cable
modem/DSL it's sloooowwwwww goin'.

I've read numerous, in-depth articles about Thomas Dolby (She Blinded Me
With Science -and- owner of BeatNik) and the technology that's gone into
this. He's given the ability for a user to re-mix a hit song, send it to a
friend and avoid copyright/trademark infringement from the artist because
the re-mix does not change the original song....it just changes 'pointers'
that are used when that viewer listens to it in the BeatNik environment.

If this catches on enough, I'm sure one of the biggies (AOL, M.S., etc...)
will add it to further browsers. (with a large contract in the fringe, of
course)
