I'm not sure of which angle you're wanting to end up (direction, origin,
degrees or radians, etc) but the basic algorithm for cartesian/polar
interconversion are in the Director technotes, with keyword "polar". (See
URL in sig.)

This is in old-style Lingo... hope it shows the principles, though.
