I think I stumble on this all of the time. So if my main timeline has but
a single frame which has a bunch of embedded movie clips, the timeline
plays the one frame and stops but all of the movie clips of course keep
looping. Now if one of those clips tries to load another movie clip into
an empty movie clip in that first frame, it doesn't work. If it loads
another movie clip into a level, it works fine. Is the problem that the
main timeline containing the empty clip is stopped?
