FLASH: RE: When I delete the layer with the motion guide,

The motion guide layer , as far as I know, has to be associated with a layer that contains the object in motion.  If you delete the Object layer above the motion layer, the motion guide layer has nothing to refer to and then just becomes a pencil drawn line.
