FLASH: drawing lines

Has anyone had the problem when using the drawing tools (paintbrush or

pencil) in Flash and not be able to draw what you want. Instead, as soon as

you click to draw it snaps a straight line to some bizarre reference point

off of the right of the stage. This is making drawing a motion guide a real

problem. I have only heard of it happening on a Mac, if this helps anyone.
