Hi all,

Not only are some people resistant to change. There are good reasons why
many people don't upgrade to 4 version browsers.

1) Not enough available Hard Disk space or computer power.
2) Company supplies computers and have not authorized changes.
3) Had difficult time to learning first browser, learning new browser
would add complications.
4) Doesn't have or don't think they have the ability to upgrade browser.
5) Doesn't have the time to install a new version assuming only the
minimum of problems.
6) Afraid that changes may impact valuable data or work flow.
7) Spouse or other shared user has problems with the change for one of
the reasons above.

With the size of the Web at greater than 100 million and those using
Version 3 browsers probably at least 25 million it will take time to get
those 'few' remaining surfers to upgrade to a version 4 browser.

The actual browser may be free but an upgrade to a version 4 often has
real costs in time and or money that the user may not be able to afford
(or doesn't think he can).

One more thing just because a surfer doesn't consider a version 4
browser a priority doesn't mean he isn't a likely prospect for you Web
site or product.
