The answer to your first question is no, you can not do it in Flash. If

you need this effect you'll have to use Director.

As for the second question the best way is to a loop=xxx. This will give

you the best result. The alternative you mention has problems, it could

work ok on your machine but would overlap or 'underlap' on other

machines. Final file size is not affected by how you implement this.
