Subject: | FLASH: Variables, properties, tell targets - oh my! |

Hello All.
I've "mastered" the basics in Flash ( or at least feel pretty good about them) but
can see that the real power comes in capabilities such as tell targeting, using
variables, and scripting etc.
Now I consider myself somewhat intelligent, I've been designing for 15 years and
developing web sites for 5. Granted, my forte is in the creative side but why is
that when I hear or read words like set variable or get properties, or some
words=some numbers, etc. my mind virtually shuts down?!?!? I suspect I'm not the
lone ranger is this department, either.
When John C. and others answer questions in these areas (and thank heaven they
do!!), they may not realize that while their answers seem so basic to them that
some of us feel we're trying to read a foreign language - literally. Example: Set
Variable: "/blu_mc:blu" = 1 (from a recent posting) Now, I'm guessing this is
drop dead easy for most of you. I, on the other hand, don't have a clue.
Surely, there's a step by step tutorial somewhere that makes things clear for the
"programming-challenged".
Any suggestions?
Thanks a million,
Rick K.
