Subject: FLASH: Variables, properties, tell targets - oh my!
From: Susan Sheehan

I'm in the same boat as you are Rick... I have been on the creative side of
design and web development and so much of what is said on this list is WAY
over my head. However I keep reading it and I figure some of it MUST be
soaking in and I will eventually pick it up. I just downloaded Flash and
due to a few really big web development jobs have hardly had the time to
even look at it.

However, I am in the middle of learning some basic Perl programming (not
sure if this will eventually help in Flash) as most of the scripts I use for
CGI are done in Perl and it will make my job easier if I can do some simple
modifications to the scripts myself. So perhaps for us total beginners with
NO programming background it may make some sense in our free time (what's
that!) to at least become familiar with the terms of programming.

And thanks to John and the others for taking their time out to help us. Now
can someone tell me if my Perl classes will help me in Flash? ;->
