Subject: Re: FLASH: a very simple question about movie clip symbols

Hi Irfan,

Symbols cab be placed anywhere on the stage, different instances of
symbols can be placed in different spots on the stage and symbols can be
created before it is determined where on stage they will be placed
therefore it is not possible to make a coordinate system based on the
main stage. The coordinate system in the symbol edit area is based on
the center of the edit area as being 0,0.

You can do a simple mathematical calculation to transpose the x,y
coordinates between the 2 systems.
