Subject: FLASH: flash to javascript to shockwave question?

This is going to sound like a retarded question to most, but I'm
curious.....

I'd like to use flash at 100% scaling, so I'd like to use it within the
html of a page, and not within shockwave in this project....yet I intend
to use shockwave to control the audio using the Beatnik Xtra so that it
will be cross platform and browser independant....

I'm thinking of using a simple javascript to pass on messages from flash
to the javascript and just forward it on to the shockwave.....

for those that are more experienced in js than I, #1, how quick will this
message be? not that it has to be extremely tight really....#2: the
javascript can be written to deal with ie and vbscripting, right?
