Hi Bill,

If you use the regular Load Movie command and load into a lvel then the
new movie will line up with the upper left hand corner (0,0) on both
movies.

It is best to make all movies with the same stage size so it is easy to
see where things will appear.
Modify > Movie > Dimensions.

Use Layer Guides to make visual alignment.
Copy and Paste in Place needed alignment elements from one FLA to a
Guide layer in the other movie. Anything on a Guide Layer will appear in
Authoruing but not exported to the SWF file.
